There is a huge variety of styles when it comes to local dresses and footwear for both men and women. 

For the ladies, dresses vary from the typical old fashioned Shalwar Kameez or Kurta with a Shawl or a Dupatta to the more latest and trendy Trouser Shalwar or Pajama and Kameez with the Dupatta being optional. Local dresses for ladies also include Sari, which is basically an Indian dress but a living proof to Karachi’s rich and diverse culture, normally worn on occasions. Other party dresses also include Lainga Kurta and many more eastern stylish dresses. As the country becomes more and more modern and westernized, ladies have also starting wear Jeans and Pants, T Shirts and other western clothing specially those belonging to the elite class of society. In comparison, men have a limited clothing choices including the casual Shalwar Kameez and the more formal Pant Shirt.
